MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to anyone who is interested in accordion music. Our members range in age from 5 to over 75. They are players, students, parents, music teachers, professional accordionists and members of the general public who enjoy accordion music.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

$10.00 annually (Jan. - Dec.)
Youth Members (16 & under) Free membership - just give information to Membership Director

MEETINGS

When: 2nd Wednesday of every month (except July) Time: 7:15 p.m.

Where: Capilano Community Hall. Go north from Capilano Mall on 50th Street to 108A Avenue. Turn left on 108A Avenue to the end. Bring your accordion and have some fun.

Players and non-players alike are welcome.

TYPICAL MEETING

A short business meeting to take care of Society business, Occasional workshops on accordion-related topics. This is followed by an hour or more of group playing, and individual performing.

CLUB ACTIVITIES

ACCORDION EXTRAVAGANZA! - (late Sept.) A yearly accordion festival which draws accordion enthusiasts, players, dancers, competitors and exhibitors from Alberta, Saskatchewan, B.C. and the United States.

Volunteer Appreciation Night - A party for volunteers who donated their time to Accordion Extravaganza.

Summer Picnic - A BBQ-style picnic with lots of food, activities and accordion-playing for Society members, their families and friends.

Performances - Society members perform on a volunteer basis at a variety of functions such as The Leduc West Antique Society Fair, Edmonton First Night Festival, Beat Beethoven Run, Edmonton Arts Awareness Promotion, and The Festival of Trees.
